illustration of digestive system
|
A child's digestive system is illustrated on the left. All the organs involved are labeled. The digestive system is responsible for breaking down the food, the nutrients from food are absorbed, and the body is then rid of waste products from the food.
5th grade science books usually have a chapter on the digestive system or the path of food. There it would further explain, in more depth, the body's digestive system. This simple art lesson combines science + art. Students have fun being creative in the coloring + labeling of each organ involved. |
